Type: smtp.netzero.com for the Outgoing Mail Server and type 465 for the Port. Check the option to Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Check the box next to Requires authentication, then click Next to finish.

I got the same issue. This happened when I try to enter my comcast.net email address in the email address field trying to register a new account on a website. I'm 100% sure it was entered correctly.
